In February 2007, following the prompting of my friend Dr David Hamilton (author of “It’s the thought that Counts”), I created an email list “Inspirational Image of the week”. The idea was to mail out each week an inspirational quote along with a photograph. It soon evolved into a diary through the seasons, with photos chosen mainly from daily walks around my home area of Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands.

I’m interested in exploring natural forms, aiming to reveal something of the essence of the natural world. People have been kind enough to say that I do indeed manage to capture some of this essence.

Interest grew, and this website is the result - a collection of inspirational images of Nature, Spirit and Place.
